In this case, there was a poor decision made by Deepwater Horizon, the drilling right that was hired by BP. There were a couple of decision making models displayed they were nonrational model and garbage model. Nonrational model is when decision makers do not have all the fact, and this in turn, does not make it easy for leaders to make decisions (Kreitner, & Kinicki, 2013). It is safe to say that these things did happen in the Deepwater Horizon disaster. The other one, which is the garbage model is where the steps in this model are not done in order; identifying the problem, solution, decision, and alternative solutions (Kreitner, & Kinicki, 2013). Within the model the decisions made were not structured ones and all the steps were not followed.
