Particular body types are represented differently in the eyes of each individual based on opinion, perspective and the way that the stereotypical convention is imposed throughout society to create the idealistic impression for each individual.

There are many factors taken into account in the representation which all contribute in imposing the conscious impression of a particular body type, however it is always open to interpretation. Individual texts provide us with a reflection of the different constellations of male bodies, most typically that of a masculine body. In analyzing the unique impression that is created through various texts, this poses the questions to us “what does a masculine body look like?” and “what can a masculine body do?”
