One of the themes in Number The Stars, by Lois Lowry, was bravery. Lois Lowry had a lot of themes, but the most important one bravery. One instance of bravery, was when Annemarie had to deliver a packet to her Uncle Henrik. The soldiers had stopped her and where questioning her. If Annemarie had not got that packet to Uncle Henrik, the people hiding in the boat could get taken away. One of the most important parts of bravery, was when Henrik (Annemarie’s uncle) had to take all of the strangers that were at the family house, for the “funeral” across the water to Sweden. While he was loading up the boat to go “fishing,” the soldiers were checking the boat. They were checking the boat because there were incidents that people were in the hideout
