Let us comprehend for a moment what comes to mind when we ponder about social norms in our society. Some things that comes to my mind is that, social norms are consequently a part of our everyday lives. Nevertheless. these norms are always gaining in quantity over a vast amount of time. Moreover, these norms are things that people do sometimes without even knowing they are doing them. For example, facing toward the front in an elevator or staying silent during a professor address. Norms are similar to the items above which are presented as elements that cannot be changed on the other hand they, being the norms can be violated. Notwithstanding the setting that my fragmenting of a social norm was in the restaurant of Longhorn Steakhouse. There were about 100-150 people that were strangers in the restaurant. The social expectations are not to disrupt people around. The usual social norm in an establishment like this to use inside voices and wait calmly for your food. Overall this experience has helped me with grasp a better amount of knowledge on the effect of social norms on my behavior. That knowledge is that social norms are elements that are followed by everyone and we as a society feel amount of discomfort when one of those norms are destroyed by another. Case in point the person for above that told me to stop singing I feel like they thought I was trying to get rid of a social norm they strongly believe in and felt discomfort in my overall reaction .This experience allowed to see this discomfort in others and in myself was
