Each year, around 200,000 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We see many ads and charity to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, but as much as that helps, the patient with the Cancer still has to personally fight it off, which if she does not, that results in death. About a seventh of women will contract the disease, and a portion of them will die from it. There are 4 stages of breast cancer and several treatments, although treatments are chosen from types and stages of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women who are 40 to 55 years old.Cancer occurs when cells divide uncontrollably. It changes from a normal cell to cancerous cells that require gene alterations. Therefore the altered genes and the uncontrolled growth may lead to tumors. You …show more content…
The testing ranges in utilities for prevention and early detection, to fighting the cancer and disposing of it. One of the most important tests is mammograms. Mammograms are the test that is trending and more and more women are starting to get them. They have been brought up in many different ways to the publics attention that have drawn the attention of young women which is good for the world of Breast Cancer. A mammogram test is highly recommended to be taken at least once a year. This will show the doctors if the woman is developing the cancer that they have contracted themselves or have inherited genetically and then the doctors can prescribe medications and such to help the cancer start to not be as aggressive. The mammograms really help because the earlier the cancer is detected the better, because the treatment will be less aggressive toward the cells since they are in early progression. But if you have Breast Cancer, there are biopsy’s which will help, and ultrasounds which have proven to show the doctors more information and given them a closer look at the Breast Cancer in the patient’s
