I’m writing in response to your recent article on the portrayal of women in the media. To summaries her article what Ms Coleman mainly said was that the media portrays women not to have lots of power (a classical example being that most of the bosses in offices are men). But when the media does portray women to have power (which is pretty rare), they are mostly uncaring and ruthless.

I agree partially with Brenna Coleman’s argument that the media does in fact make these negative stereotypes for women that contribute to how society views women and how women view themselves. The media even influences the way women dress, and the weight of a woman, and even what extent to grow their own hair.

However I don’t blame the media for having a stereotype
