There are many different kinds of survivors, a person can survive an event where others have died, one can cope well with difficult things in their life, or they could just survive something traumatic. But one thing they all have in common is they have traits that make them unique. There are a lot of traits that oneself can have. Many people are adventurous, independent, or even persistent, but a survivor has inner drive, adaptability, and purpose. A survivor has inner drive. This drives them to need to get what they want. In the novel Fragments by Jeffry Johnston, Kevin wants Chase to remember what happened in the crash because he wants to know what Angie was doing in her last moments. He keeps asking Chase if he remembers anything and his friends even try to beat it out of him until he finally tells him what he remembers, “Look, kevin there’s nothing more I can tell you.” “i know” (Johnston 148). …show more content…
People have to have adaptability because life does not always go the way people want to or the easy way. They have to learn to go with the flow and they also need to know how to switch up when things go wrong. If a person does not have adaptability then when things go wrong they will not know what to do or how to fix the situation to make it right again. In the poverty simulation oneself has to adapt to save money. And they learned that people have to make very hard decisions. In life you also have to make hard decisions and having the trait adaptability those decisions are easier to make. People could still make those decisions if they do not have adaptability but it will be harder and more stressful on that
