Bringing dogs to work would cause more harm than good. Perhaps this policy could be beneficial for some employees, but it would serve as a hinderance to many of the workers in the office. The "Bring Your Dog to Work" program would not work because many people do not feel comfortable around dogs, the behavior of the dogs would impede productivity, and these dogs would require extra attention from employees. Dogs are not for everyone. Many people do not feel comfortable around dogs or animals in general, and some people even have allergies. Being someone who suffers from anxiety around dogs, being surrounded by them all the time would make work a nightmare for me. I would not be able to focus on work and I would not feel safe or comfortable in the workplace. Putting workers through distress only causes harm to our company as a whole. I agree that some people would feel more comfortable around dogs and would experience a more relaxed workplace, but I do not think we should alienate many of our employees to appease a few. Many dogs have issues when it comes to behaving. Putting a dog in an unfamiliar environment could easily cause it to become stressed out, where it would behave even worse and possibly even becoming violent. I personally would not be able to work effectively surrounded by dogs that are barking and jumping on me. These distractions would slow down most employees in the office. If a dog attacks someone or another dog, our company could be liable. Putting the company in potenial legal trouble would be dangerous and irresponsible. Some employees would work longer hours and more efficiently around the comfort of their pets, however most would not be able to work productively. I do understand why these people would like to have their pets at work, but they have to consider that other workers cannot work around
