Sacrifices are made very few times, but the point of a sacrifice is the give something for the greater good. Sometimes that's not what ends up happening. In the play, "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" Antony and Brutus [main characters] both give speeches after the death of the soon to be king Caesar; both speeches have some similar and differences in it.

In the speeches by Brutus and Antony they both speak on how great Caesar is and how much he meant to both of them. In Brutus speech he says, "As Caesar loved me, I weep for him. As he was fortunate, I rejoice at it. As he was valiant, I honor him" (E2020). Brutus shows how even tho he may have killed him for the people he also loved him and honored Caesar. In Antony's speech he says, "My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, And I must pause till it come back to me" (E2020). In Antony's speech he is saying how he feels with this figurative language. Antony is very sad because he was Caesar servant and closes friend, so he lost a lot.

Brutus says, " If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more" (E2020). Brutus says why he killed Caesar and later in the speech he explains more on how he will make Rome better then it was. In Antony's speech he has a little more of a different type of way he will do afterwards. Antony says, "I should do Brutus wrong, and Cassius wrong" (E2020). Antony plans on seeking justice for Caesar's death but he doesnt want to get the crowd wild up so he later mentions he will not do anything to both Brutus and
