A new study suggests that bullying can have an effect on microbes in your intestines or stomach. The study was Conducted by Katherine Patrick. She is a graduate student at Georgia State University. Her hypothesis for her experiment was, “that social stress might change which microbes would choose to colonize the digestive tract.” The experiment was not on people, but instead on Syrian hamsters.
