Burmese Python

The presence of the Burmese Python is negatively impacting Florida's everglades.According to the new article by Andrew NG, senator Bill Nelson brought a 16 ft Burmese Python skin to a meeting to show how big of a threat the pythons are to the everglades. In response to this threat, Florida has arranged Python challenges for hunters to kill this invasive species.

Clearly, the Burmese Python are drawing hunters to the everglades. According to Andrew NG in his 2013 article, to address the problem, the state's fish and wildlife commision is sponsoring its first ever python challenge.
The Statement means having a challenge to get rid of the harmful pythons.
This is important because they are harmful for wildlife so they try to get rid of them.

Andrew NG goes on to say, “prizes will be awarded in two divisions; One for novices and the other for those who already have python hunting permits”. In other words this is significant because these snakes are dangerous so the hunters themselves could possible get hurt.

Additionally, Burmese Pythons are dangerous. in fact, according to Burmese Pythons: Not the ideal pet by Matt Piven pythons it grows to an astounding length of 23 feet and weigh up to 200 pounds”. Based on this quote one could conclude that a python could escape from its cage. These snakes are

According to Andrew NG in the newspaper article florida's Pythons hunt, with no natural predators, this eating machines appear to be wiping out a huge numbers of possums ,raccoons, and bobcats as well as many bird species. This means that tens of thousands of Burmese Python could destroy all other smaller animals in the everglades. This is important because this could drive all the other animals to extinction which could be destructive for humans as well.
