1. I am a Project Manager in the Investigations and Management Services Division at CACI where I manage a project that provides background investigations for the federal government. I started at CACI as an investigator in 2008 and worked my way up to become the Project Manager. Currently, I manage a staff of approximately 1600 employees and my project has annual revenue of approximately 200 million dollars. I am responsible for creating and managing a high performing team as well as coordinating with and answering directly to our client, the United States Office of Project Management.
I work closely with my team to insure the best performance possible for our client and to troubleshoot significant obstacles. Each morning I have a meeting with my management team to address the main goals for the day and in general so that I insure my client’s needs are properly addressed. Thereafter, I hope to assume a position of management of a business unit, managing thousands of employees with annual revenues of over 500 million dollars. I plan to achieve this by acquiring the necessary tools and experience to manage larger programs at UNC Keenan Flagger while completing my MBA. I intend to hone my leadership and business skills at your program so I can work my way up from my current position of project manager. I currently use intuition and experience to guide my decisions; but, I plan to strengthen my skills by learning formal methodologies at UNC and also benefiting from the life experiences of my classmates and professors. I believe UNC will provide me with skills that will enhance my existing leadership abilities. In addition, the enriching curriculum coupled with the impressive career services department at UNC will be great advantages when I seek to fulfill my short term career
