Caffeine is consumed by millions of people daily through naturally-occurring beverages or artificially made supplements. There have been countless arguments as to whether caffeine’s health benefits outweigh its health deficits. The question still floats in the air, how badly are humans affected by caffeine. Caffeine has multiple side effects both positive and negative. When consumed in large quantities on a regular basis caffeine has multiple health deficits. Tea and coffee naturally contain caffeine, while other drinks such as energy drinks contain artificial caffeine. Caffeine should not be consumed daily in large quantities, and if is consumed should be done so through beverages in which are naturally caffeinated.

Tea and coffee detoxify and burn fat respectively. When adding cream, milk, or sugar to tea or coffee, consider drinking the beverage without to avoid the extra calories and unnecessary fats. If an energy boost is desired, turn to natural methods of consuming a smaller amount of caffeine as opposed to artificial methods such as energy drinks which are primarily sugar and caffeine. Experiment as to how much caffeine is necessary to reach the maximum amount of alertness, with the ability to prevent sleep deprivation.
