In “Can We Autocorrect Humanity?” by Prince Ea focuses on how interaction between humanity has begun to decline over the decade. We easily conformed through the trend on following new technology. Daily, we rely on technology more than actual face to face interaction with others. Because of that, interact with other seems harder for us to do. The amount of time we spent with technology, it slowly becomes our reality. We no longer live in the real world, neither less we allowed technology world to overtake and replace our reality with the world we live in. I personally agree with Prince Ea final conclusion, we cannot autocorrect Humanity. We need to be initiative and change our own bad habits, and re-learn how to interact with others once again.
The talk on “Touchscreen” by Marshall Davis Jones’s touched on the topic of digital life. Letting digital world become our reality harmed us in many ways we couldn’t see. By the time we found out which is the reality, we’ve already missed all the precious moment we could of have. Again, relying too much on technology led us to destruction of humanity. He compared the childhood he had back in the days and current childhood children have. Everyplace we go, we see people being so caught up with their display in their hands. The relationship people could’ve built didn’t happen because of too focusing on the display they have. To me, this is more of a first-world problem that the first-world people struggle with. Being to other countries, where people don’t have the privilege like us do. The lives they have seem more productive and joyful, even though they don’t have all these wealth and items. So I agree with the statement he made in the end, put down the display we have and live life the real
