Canada as known has a really high ranking in healthcare system, but it is also very high with paying for it. Canada ranks fifth country on the world of the OECD (The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) in terms of per capita health care expenditure, dedicating resources equal to 11.4% of GDP (gross domestic product) to healthcare. As the population gets older and the number of working Canadians decreases, GDP (gross domestic product) will not continue to increase and grow at the same pace as before. Considering this, it is imperative that Canadians have managed to come to a time with this truth that this generational demographic shift will result in a growth of health care expenditures. These flaws are small flaws that could be fixed very easily, they are also flaws that should not even exist in the first place, it’s just the fact that management of healthcare system is not good, Canada has everything that is needed from resources to get their healthcare system ranking up to the first. But some of the solutions could be complicated and would need many multiple brains to come up with a solution. Some solutions that can be improved without any complications are solutions like timely access, it is not enough to have a family doctor, and you need to be able to see this doctor as soon as possible when you are ill or not feeling well. In Canada, only 38 percent of people reported being able to see their main healthcare care provider the same day, or the following day. Australia, France, and the United Kingdom all have a 50 percent or higher for people that see their main healthcare provider the same day, other countries such as Germany stand at around 70 percent which is very high and has a very good impact on the healthcare system. This is a critical thing that needs to be improved to lower the number or people relying on walk-in clinics and emergency departments (Tepper, 2015).
