The nation of Iraq was known as a vibrant civilization, with a rich culture until the illegal war in Iraq that had changed the entire world’s view on the nation. Since, Canada did not partake in the war, like their allies the US and UK did, Canada’s relation with Iraq was neither great nor horrible. As the leader of Canada, it is in your political responsibility to restore Canada’s relations with Iraq, in order prevent another brutal war. In consideration of the foregoing, The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade would like to propose a newly updated plan of action for peacekeeping, air armed forces, and the rebuilding of the nation of Iraq.

Since the war in Iraq, Canada’s relations with their allies have taken a fall, due to Canada refusing to take part in the war. The media played a role in shining negative light towards Canada, since majority of the Western world was still in fear from the September 11 attack, covering Canada as a weak nation. The media plays a major part in what type of reputation a nation will have. The style and personality of a nation’s leader can significantly affect what kind of tasks a country will do. Under Chrétien’s leadership, Canada did not partake in an illegal war, which had questions about the validity of President Bush’s reasons for going to war in the first place. For instance, if Harper were in power, Canada would have joined alongside with the United States in the invasion of Iraq. In order to improve Canada’s name, we must first help those nations whom we have left broken and redeem ourselves starting with the nation of Iraq. Canada must increase the sizing of peacekeepers, keep a watchful eye on our armed forces overseas, and assist on rebuilding Iraq. The foreign policies proposed above are meant to provide a positive and affective works onto Canada whilst helping out Iraq.
