Capitalism: A Love Story is a documentary by Michael Moore that underlines the negative effects that capitalism has on modern society. Moore points out that capitalism gives people the opportunity to make bunches of money and to have a high standard of living. Although, for many workers, making an income to support a family can be quite impossible. At one time, you could find a secure job and live a good life, but capitalism has evolved into a system of greed where only the rich get richer, and the middle class get poorer with absolutely no chance to better themselves. This review will analyze the positive and negative impacts of capitalism shown in this film.

Capitalism gives everyone the opportunity to do what they want and to make what they want of themselves. It gives one the opportunity to work as much or as little as one wants, and to have the ability to make more money than others whether fair or not. At one time, if you worked hard, you could make a lot of money, and you could purchase a house, cars and many material possessions for yourself and your family. One could argue that even today, with a good education and a secure job, you could enjoy the benefits of a good life. Corporations provided jobs, infrastructure and security for its employees and subcontractors.

However, these corporations have evolved and will continue to evolve. In some cases, modern companies have evolved positively where they can profit and, at the same time treat all employees including CEOs fairly. Michael Moore a man that was brought up from a modest upbringing, Goes out in search of answers to whom is really in control of America. He travels to various areas like Manhattan and Washington to find these answers. Moore goes and talks to the everyday people of America to see what he could find and ask them how they really felt about Capitalism. This movie really shows who we are as a nation and why we do the things we do.
When President Franklin D Roosevelt passes away before the introduction of the second bill of rights, America really goes crazy, especially all the politicians trying to benefit themselves by trying to hurt the less fortunate. He left insurance companies and banks with billions of dollars to spend how they please, and to also pay their employees without any conditions. With some politicians foreseeing Obama they try to pay him out by helping with his campaign and implicate him as a socialist because they knew Obama was trying to redo all the rules they had originally imposed, he was swapping capitalism for socialism.

A lot of Americans think that capitalism is the production and distribution of products and but when in reality it is really the rich looking to get richer even if that means hurting others or putting others down. Moore also goes to multiple Christian churches to speak with the ministers and he then sees that all of them think that capitalism was brought up from an evil place. Ministers believed that capitalism was a sin. The poor start to fight back and work together because they begin to see the atrocity which has unfolded right in front of them. People fought back because they finally had courage to do what they needed to, to fight back.

People have to work more and more. Finally, America became a Winner takes all country.
Secondly, Michael is pointing out the evil forces in the Wall Street. They wanted to make faster, so they constantly lobbied on politicians and congress. And also they caused the present economic crisis by selling risky derivatives to all over the world.
