Car’s V.S. SUV’s
Buying a vehicle is one of life’s major decisions. There are many different colors, styles, types, and other important details that need to be taken into consideration before making the purchase. One of the most important decisions that need to be made before you even step onto a car lot is how much vehicle is right for you. Your lifestyle will determine if you need to look at a car or an SUV. When determining if a car or SUV is best for you, you have to weigh the positives and negatives of owning each.
The first thing to take into consideration when determining what vehicle to purchase is the space and size. For example if you tend travel with a lot of people or have a big family then an SUV might be better than a car. A car usually can only seat four adults comfortably. An SUV allows you to seat more people but also allows you to carry more things because of the bigger trunk space and much more room to store other items. Another advantage of an SUV over a car is the rear opening of the vehicle. SUV’s tend to have wider rear openings or trunk openings allowing for the purchase and transport of big items. These items might be a struggle to maneuver into the backseat of a car or the trunk of a car. In addition to less flexibility when hauling things with a car, there is also the issue of people space. An advantage of a car trunk is that you generally cannot see what is in the trunk from the outside. This adds some additional security when hauling valuables in the trunk as opposed to an SUV which tends to have windows that look into the back area allowing people outside the vehicle to see whatever is inside. Cars also tend to sit lower to the ground than an SUV. This can be both an advantage and disadvantage. It is an advantage because it could mean better vehicle handling but also could be a disadvantage in terms of making it harder to see around other cars or trucks. If you do not drive around a lot of people or do not frequently buy/haul large items a car might be a better fit for you.
The Second thing you should factor into which type of vehicle to buy is you’re up front costs versus your long term costs. What’s most important is can you get all of what you want for the right price? As you may know SUV’s can cost quite a bit more than cars although some larger cars are about the same price as small to medium sized SUVs. Depending on the bells and whistles you want to ad and what comes standard with the vehicle could make a big difference in the price of an SUV versus a car. In addition to the up-front cost you also have to take into consideration other costs over the life of the car such as how far you are driving for your daily commute. If you’re going to need to purchase a bigger vehicle such as the Suv you’re going to have to think logically that it’s not going to get as good of gas mileage compared to a car. If you do not need an SUV for the added
