Texting and Driving Is Never A Good Thing Only someone who is ignorant to the dangers of texting and driving would partake in such a heinous activity. A majority of car accidents that occur today are actually the result of driving while texting. Someone who is texting and driving not only puts their safety at risk but the safety of other motorists as risk as well. As a responsible driver, one’s main focus is to keep their hands on the wheel, stay alert, and pay attention to all vehicles on the road. This helps to avoid accidents, and assists in one making it safely to their destination. Just to imagine a person speeding down the highway, while trying to maneuver their cell phone to text seems extremely complicated and unachievable. The reason why texting and driving is so dangerous is because it is literally impossible to drive and text simultaneously. This can lead to a person veering off the road, and possibly into opposite lanes of traffic. This can also cause a person to not pay attention, drive into the back of another car, run a stop sign, or even something more severe as run traffic lights. A motorist who is guilty of these offenses is surely to cause a major car accident, and risks killing themselves and even someone else. In addition to the possibility of a person causing an accident, this act is also illegal. More laws are being passed and particularly in Florida, Law Enforcement will pull a person over, and issue a hefty ticket.
