Catholic schools cater for students with a diverse range of characteristics and experiences including physical, religious, personal health or wellbeing, cultural, psychological, intellectual, socio economic or life experiences. These characteristics and experiences are what shape a community life of a school. When students are enrolling or transitioning into schools, this process will assist to identify the needs of the student and any educational adjustments that need to be made. The enrolment application and support procedure (EASP) to make the process smooth by planning and collaborating an appropriate action plan to meet the needs of the learner. Various support professionals are involved in this process based on the disability. Breaking this process down further into classroom planning individual education planning is a process that relies on the partnership between families and professionals as well as the evidence of the learner. Schools in Brisbane Catholic Education employ a variety of ways to document their planning for students and this meets the requirements of the Discrimination Act 1992 legislation (Brisbane Catholic Education- Inclusive Education, 2015).
