Cats And Dogs Cats and dogs are unique creatures yet they are the two most common household pets. Do they have things in common? Yes. They have several similarities that they share, but at the same time they are very different. Some people prefer the company of a kitty, while others are considered puppy lovers. Both animals have hair. When you pet them, not only do they relieve stress, but spread their hairs around. They require love and affectionate from their owners, and can do the same if you show it towards them. They are also domesticated animals kept as pet. They both give birth to multiple offspring at one time. These two animals are easy to love, and with the right affection they become like children to most. Aside the similarities, they are different in terms of behavior, diet, and hunting. To begin, dogs are social pets. They are strongly attached to their owners to extent that whenever a dog is left alone because of its owner’s busy schedules, it develop separation anxiety, but are happy in many different environments as long as they have their pack with them. This pack mentality allows us to train them to do tricks and they crave the attention that they get from their performance. In contrast, cats are antisocial animals. They are more close to the environment than they are to their owners and other cats because of self -sufficiency. As long as they are in their own environment, they are happy. As dogs are designed to run down their prey, cats stalk them. Furthermore, dogs are omnivores, they can sustain life from both plants and animals sources of energy. Examples of such foods are fish, meat, tomatoes, burger, rice etc. In a survival situation, dogs can maintain themselves totally on plants-bases food or even faeces. They are not picky in terms of food selection, although their food is somehow expensive. They sometimes have a balance diet because they are omnivores. On the other hand, cats are strictly carnivores. They only eat animal source. In hunger cats cannot survive because they depend on only one source. Cats are very picky when it comes to food but surprisingly their foods are much cheaper
