There are many head injuries or concussions in football. A lot is from the big impact. It's becoming a bigger problem in recent years. In my opinion I dont think its a huge deal, if you sign up for the sport you better know what the outcome might be. I believe that people need to not make such a big deal about sports being so bad, a lot of people get head injuries from other things.
My first topic to talk about is head to head contact. First of all football is a violent sport and can get very wild at times. But people need to realize they signed up for it. Football is America's sport. There will be big hits here and there, but things happen. One thing officials try to crack down on is when the contact is helmet to helmet. If a 250 pound man is coming full speed at a 175 pound man and it goes head on, it could be a bad outcome.
In my opinion I think this is making out to be a bigger deal than it actually is. I believe that the equipment today is a lot safer than it used to be. There are new helmets that can absorb a lot of contact and absorb bigger

I believe one of the main causes is due to no padding or protection. Players not wearing head protection or body padding are 12 times more likely to get concussions. A lot of people take kicks or head blows. Or big impact running into each other without pads. I know a few people at the school who have had a couple concussions due to soccer. Examples of concussions are occurring when players accidentally knock their heads into other players while attempting to head the ball, particularly if they are attempting to flick the ball backwards. It was a shock at first because I never really saw soccer as being a contact sport, or any big impact coming from the sport.
