During the Columbian exchange, the settlers brought new foods, technology, animals and plants to the Americas. But the unknowingly brought disease. Because of this Native populations decreases drastically and millions of natives died. Diseases were brought to North America, including bubonic plague, chickenpox, cholera, the common cold, diphtheria, influenza, malaria, measles, scarlet fever, sexually transmitted diseases, typhoid, typhus, tuberculosis, and pertussis.
