Ever since I first encountered Biomedical Engineering research during my internship at the University of Delaware’s Price Lab, I had discovered that not only did I immensely enjoy the work the I did, but I also possessed the ability to help the world through my efforts. During my time as an intern, I had developed an automatic confluent cell quantification program that greatly alleviated the work of others in counting multiple thousands of cells every day, reducing the overall time for data collection and analysis from hours to mere seconds.
