As many of us know, NASA is consistently making new discoveries. The newest of discovery has me quite intrigued. The findings that implies that the planet, Ceres, has a weak interior. This is evaluated by monitoring the variations in Ceres’ gravity fluctuations, even though they are subtle it is enough of a clue to determine the internal structure. This new data propose that Ceres has a weak interior, and water and light particles of unknown material separated from rock in the early years during a heating phase.
Ceres, is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. It’s approximately 587 miles in diameter, this also makes it the largest of the minor planets within the orbit of Neptune. This planet is composed

Ceres was the first dwarf planet discovered by the spacecraft Dawn whom is now studying it in great detail. Scientist with NASA’s Dawn mission have identified with multiple photos that although there is no visibility to the center of this planet. Since gravity dominates Dawn’s orbit at Ceres, scientist can measure the variations in the gravity by recording the slight changes in the motion of the spacecraft.
The date is measured by recording radio signals sent to the spacecraft, and then received back on Earth by NASA’s Deep Space Network. The Network is made up of large antennas at multiple locations around the world.
Ceres’s special property called hydrostatic equilibrium is the source used to confirm the weak interior of this dwarf planet. To explain hydrostatic equilibrium, it is the fluid in continuum Mechanic which balances when at rest or when the flow velocity at each point is constant over time. This means that the weak interior dictates how the planet rotates, or that the shape is governed by how it rotates. This is also why this planet was deemed a dwarf planet is 2006 (NASA
