Another impact was how Chavez was able to get enough people to accomplish the Delano Grape Strike, which lasted for five years and resulted in little to no grape harvesting. Finally, these impacts changed his life because he put his life in jeopardy when he took part in the war, fasts, and even the grape strike because if he didn’t have his wife he wouldn’t have been able to maybe even eat every night because he wasn’t receiving a paycheck to be able to buy food.
