In the 1920’s a man named Cesar Chavez was born. He grew up to be the most loved field worker in his time because he fought for their rights and actually won a lot of good things for them. Cesar Chavez was influenced by political and cultural contents based on what what he believed and fought for. He did many movements that led to his biggest accomplishment as a catalyst for change.
When Cesar Chavez was young, he had to drop out of school to help his family in the fields. He soon figured that people working in the fields were not being treated, paid, nor taken care of as they had to. Cesar knew that he had to do something about it because nobody was taking action and everybody was not happy with the way things were going for them. Respect is something that led him to having the biggest accomplishments during that time. When Cesar was only ten years old, his home was taken away and that is when the part of his culture kicked in (Biography of Cesar E Chavez). He was taught the value of hard work so that is he got to doing. When we left school he got to work because his parents will not make enough money for the things that they needed and rent for where they were staying. Cesar’s culture was like an other Hispanic culture, where he was taught to value everything and himself and that is why he fought for everything like he did. He knew that the work that he and all the other people were doing needed to be valued more. He wanted to make sure people knew how much hard work it was to work in the fields and how crucial they were to everybody else’s lives. When he made a boycott, people and contractors realized that the field workers were nobody to be looked down
