I think our product is better suited for direct consumer sales(own website) but we should also look at indirect channels to reach to a bigger population segment. Based on the diffusion model other channels would help us to capture the “Late Majority” and “Laggards”, who might not use our website to buy the product but would need to see/feel the product.
We can leverage other direct marketing channels like display ads within the Google or Microsoft networks or on Facebook. This could potentially include affiliate partners marketing your products, print ads, comparison shopping feeds, or product ads on marketplaces, such as Amazon.com.
Our plan might also include indirect marketing channels like blogs, and customer-engagement strategies using social media, public relations, speaking engagements, newsletters, contests, and sweepstakes.
On the sales side, we should expand to sell through our website and other sites like Amazon.com, eBay.com, Sears.com, and Buy.com to reach our entire target market.
