Chaos In The Tempest

Everyone has a stage of chaotic ways in their lives, but at the end turns back on the right track and back into order. This relates to the play "The Tempest". In the play "The Tempest" written by Willam Shakespeare, starts out with a massive shipwreck leaving the passengers stranded and separated on a deserted island. Prospero and Ariel, the ones who caused the storm, is out with their magical powers to seek revenge on Prospero's brother and the men who helped him who dethroned him. Miranda, Prospero's daughter, caught love at first sight with Ferdinand, Alonzo's son. Having to face many troubling trails such as getting slept from each other causes not only chaos but worry as well. "Goodbye, wife and kids! Goodbye brother!" (1:1) This quote represents the shipwreck the men are on caused by Prospero and his helper Ariel. By using this powerful quote, the reader can picture how the men are frightened and how the chaos begins. Saying goodbye has such a strong meaning to it because the men think that they are going to die and never return. Many people think that personal "ship" is sinking and they will never return. If they keep pushing and never giving up, everything will be back in order. "Please cheer up sir. Like all of us, you have a good reason to be happy." (2:1) As the men are all stranded and separated on the island, they are all worried because they have lost some of their men and Alonzo thinks that Ferdinand is dead on the ocean floor. Everyone in their lives no matter if it is a person or an object, if it looses its possession they are heartbroken and feel nothing good will happen again.
