Chapter 3 in my opinion has been the most violent chapter in Enrique’s Journey. This Chapter is mainly about Enrique’s Journey through Mexico to America. A few points in the chapter have got me thinking and wondering about immigration into Mexico and from Mexico in to Texas. The first point is the amount of force and violence that the Mexican police, immigration enforcers, and gangs put towards the illegal migrants coming from other Central and Southern American Country trying to get to America. Although these people use such violent forces of actions to stop the migrants it almost makes since. They are unhappy with these people invading their country just as Americans are. Now should the degree of violent actions be brought down tremendously, yes, absolutely. I do agree that I think it is a great thing that Mexico is involved with the immigration issues and are trying to stop them from happening. In this chapter many people use the train for transportation to get through Mexico to America, in a more efficient and quicker way. I feel that is they use some sort of security (I understand Mexico is poor and this may be difficult) to help stop the use of train migrants would be able to be caught by police in Mexico. A larger quantity of Migrants would be sent back to their home county helping Mexico’s immigration problem and also in turn helping American’s immigration issues. This would slow the process of traveling though Mexico and in to America. This would also help the death rate and injury rate go down tremendously in my opinion. In the book Enrique recalls, so many migrants are injured or even worse killed on these fast moving unsafe trains, if security was stepped up this would save people’s
