Firstly, in Everyday Use¸ one of the daughters, Dee, possessed over nice clothes and household object more than her relationship with her mother and sister. In the story it mentioned that “at sixteen she had a style of her own; and knew what style was” (Walker 395). This shows the reader that at sixteen years old Dee was smart enough to know, what good style was and what bad style was.
