Craig Corso Character Analysis
Craig Corso, one of the main characters in the fiction ‘Catch a Killer’ by George Woods, is a reclusive type of character developing through an isolating environment, finds himself involved in murder. He has been abused throughout his childhood and bullied; and learns that he cannot trust people anymore. Throughout the story, Craig finds himself hunting for revenge and killing two lives he isn’t supposed to kill. His true personality is not exposed until the incidence that happened with three rednecks and the murder.
Generally, Craig’s growth is highly affected by the environment he is interacting with. The author in this case rather choses to give an indirect description and prefers to show, not to tell, how he is changing. During his childhood and teenage periods, he has been bullied several times but never fought back, which basically says he is peaceful and gentle. But it starts getting worse when everyone eventually starts picking on him and marks him as a target. His mother will comfort him, but his father certainly does not like the way he is treated; he wants him to fight back like a man.

He does not know if he should kill the boy or not. And so, he decides to tie him to a tree in the cold woods, without food or shelter beside a railroad.
