Individuals have to make choices even when there is nothing to choose from. That applies to the people in Our Town, a play by Thornton Wilder in 1939 which is as an everyday routine for the people in Our Town. In three acts, audiences witness Act I, “Daily Life,” to the romantic in Act II, “Love and Marriage,” and the devastating in Act III, “Death and Eternity.” The act opens with the Stage Manager, who speaks to the audience, Breaking the 4th/wall). In the beginning of the play, the omniscient Stage Manager describes this small town and introduces its residents and who live next door to each other. The second act occurs some years later. Ebony is a really funny and boring person and is not afraid to let her feelings and emotions out!! Her mom left her with her babysitter to go somewhere and never came back. The fact that her mother deserted her at a stranger's house is very saddening. In the play “Our town” it looks like the stage manager is relaxed, an omniscient character, upbeat, and breaks the 4th/Wall. Armia Robinson played the character of Emily Webb. Armia is a really nice person and has a shy quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. She has a hard time with kissing Archie Posada who played George Gibbs. He Has the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. In his part of the play he has a kind of guidance, direction, control, and management. His little brother looks up to him and thinks he is stronger than Spider Man. In the play “Our town” it looks like George Gibbs wants to be a farmer when he grows up and wants to marry Emily. Jackie Oliver played the character of Mrs. Soames who finds humor in everything. It seems to me that laughing is her coping mechanism. Jackie is a really kind and generous person that wants to live life not for the taking but for the giving.
