Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry was written by Mildred D. Taylor. Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry is a book takes place in the 1930’s. This book is based on the African American family named the Logans. The Logans have an enormous piece of land that everyone wants and are trying to take away from the Logan family. One very important character from this book that is like no other is T.J. . T.J. is the biggest troublemaker, the most persuasive character, and the biggest show off in the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry.
T.J. is a huge troublemaker, and there are so many ways to show it. For example, T.J. had a cheat cheat for one of the tests in Mama’s class. He should have gotten a beating but he …show more content…

One really good example of T.J. being persuasive was when he went back inside the Logan’s house to try and find the cheat cheat to the test they were going to have in Mama’s class. Once he got back outside, he convinced the Logan kids that he was just going back to look for his cup, but he was really looking for the cheat cheat. Another example is when T.J. got Stacey to give him the really nice jacket. That wasn’t very hard for T.j. because Stacey didn’t like the jacket very much. T.J. can be very persuasive. One example of T.J. showing of is when he was showing off the new jacket he got from Stacey which he was persuasive enough to get. He sure respected that jacket more than Stacey did. Another example would be when T.J. was showing off his white friends. His white friends happened to be R.W. and Melvin Simms. Those guys are really bad news. T.J. is such a show off. T.J. is the biggest troublemaker, the most persuasive, and the biggest show off in the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry. Overall, T.J. has many personality traits.
