A: The Anasazi people originated from present-day New Mexico, and like many early native peoples, initially sustained off of a hunting and gathering lifestyle. It was not until the spark of the Agricultural Revolution that a new lifestyle full of crops emerged, bringing forth the solution to the eradication of meat. However, the characteristics of the homeland of the Anasazi, consisting of drought and infertile soil, would not allow for such a fluid change from hunting to agriculture as sustainment.
