In these stories, the key characters, Charlie and Henry, have a great deal of similarities, it seems that the author wrote both of the stories. In the stories, there are not a lot differences between what they do and why they fight for the Northern side. There are also several similarities between the two boys. The main characters have countless analogous features and hardly any differences between what they did for the North. Overall, these stories have numerous similarities and not many alterations between the two key characters and their fight. There were not many disparities between the boys and the numerous paths they took to get to where they are at. First, Henry was a deserter from war, on the other hand, Charlie never backed down from the fight. Also, Charlie gets shot in a shooting encounter and injured, Henry gets hit by one of his commanding officers because he would not respond to him. Likewise, they are from different states, Charlie was from Minnesota and Henry was from New York. Also, they were both undeveloped boys when they enlisted, the passages state that Charlie was fifteen years old when he enlisted and it stands, believed that Henry was around eighteen years old when he enlisted.
