Who is Ernesto “Che” Guevara? Some people might see his photograph on shirts or posters throughout the world. Ernesto “Che” Guevara was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, and guerrilla leader. He was considered a hero to some and monster to others. He was born on May fourteenth nineteen-twenty-eight in Rosario Argentina. His family was considered a Spanish upper class. As a child Ernesto Guevara played with everyone. As he got older he was looking for more meaning in life. He enrolled into medical school but then became interested in exploring. He went on a journey to explore Patagonia and then on to chili. His hopes were to start a world war. He had seen some of the unseen and was bothered by what he witnessed. Poverty was in the faces of everyone he came in contact with in chili. In Cuba at the time they did not have copyrights for anything. This famous picture was eventually taken to Europe by Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. It was then sent to Italy where it was posted on many magazines. Since there were no copyrights this picture has been used in many different advertisements, cigarettes, shirts, magazines, and posters. In two thousand and one Alberto sued red bull for using the famous photograph. His daughter is still trying to fight this battle to this day. Alberto Korda referred to the photograph as heroic Guerrilla. Many see it as it represents change. Che whole focus was he wanted change. He wanted everyone to be treated equally. While he might not have done it the right way, he felt that was the only way to get the change that was needed. I do not like how he used his way for change, but I do like that he was fighting for the needs of others. It is sad to go to other countries and see how they are having to
