Discuss the differences between types of provision
Available for children aged 0-5 years.
There are three types of provision; statutory, private and voluntary which are all different to each other.
Statutory is different to private because it is run and funded by the government as it is paid for by taxes meaning it is different as private provision you have to pay for your child to attend it, which leads to them earning a profit. Also with private there are higher staffs to child ratio and the staffs are better qualified.
Statutory is also different to voluntary as you have to pay through taxes for your child to attend whereas in a voluntary provision it is often a setting provided by local mums etc. such as a playgroup or a club. Also you have to pay a small fee for it to continue going or it may get shut down. More over the voluntary provision will be flexible with the times it is run for were as a statutory setting such as a school will have set times. The staffs in a voluntary setting are usually not qualified.
Private is very different to voluntary as it is run as a business to make profit were as the voluntary setting is set up by people who work for either no money or very little also like the statutory and private provisions they have strict times that are followed unlike the voluntary. The private provisions also follow a curriculum unlike the voluntary and the staff are much higher qualified and educated.
