Task 1
This is a plan of how a special need child with Down Syndrome would be suited in a nursey setting.

Usually, mental development and physical development are slower in people with Down syndrome than in those without the condition.
There are a variety of other health conditions that are often seen in people who have Down syndrome, including, hearing problems, Intestinal problems, such as blocked small bowel and eye problems.

A child suffering from down syndrome can benefit from flash card. These are used to ask simple question to the individual to find out what they might need and what they are trying to say. As a example one of the children might need to use the toilet but be unable to speak, so they can point out to the cards or either confirm by nodding at a picture.

Children could have difficulties eating on their own, at this age children are getting familiar with using spoons forks knifes, but it can be more difficult for a down syndrome child to adjust as they have smaller hands and have less strength, So the child will need extra from a support worker. They can show them step by step and take small steps in teaching them how to eat. Although it seems easy to eat but this could be challenging for a down syndrome child to hold the equipment.
