Stay Safe- Practitioners should make sure that children and young people are protected from harm and neglect. This can be done by practitioners/staff spotting the signs of a child’s behaviour. Children and young people should be safe from; bullying, discrimination, crime and anti-social behaviour inside and outside of school. We as practitioners should always make sure that all children and young people are protected and safeguarded. This can be done by following our setting’s polices and procedure’s this is done in regards to child protection issues. We should make sure the building is safe and we risk assess each classroom and make sure all windows and doors are secure. This is done so that no child or young person is able to go the building without an adult and so no stranger is able to come inside the building. We should make sure that all equipment is safe so that the children no not hurt them self.
The positive outcomes are linked to the Every Child Matters outcomes;
Be Healthy- This means that practitioners should help and encourage children and young people to be health, this can be done by giving them healthy meals and snacks. We should encourage children and young people to drink allot of clear fluids like water or juices instead of fizzy drinks. We should help them to cope with everyday life such as personal stress and help them to build their self esteem and self confidence. This can be done by giving children and young people time to talk to someone they
