WENRUI SHI
ONE: SEXUAL ABUSE
MOM + DAD — AS A PERPETRATOR
PRECIOUS — AS A VICTIM
PRECIOUS’S TWO KIDS — AS THE POTENTIAL VICTIM
P’s dad rapes her for several times starting at her 3 years old and lets her get pregnant 2 times and P’s mom makes P touch with her sexual organ and do masturbation, which can be evidences of the sexual abuse. These lead to P loses the trust of parents’ love, feels guilty about her body and her mom and has the antisocial behavior (stealing food for restaurant), depression, identity confusion of her role in her family, suicidal tendency, distorted cognition, early-mature(such as she is imagining that her teacher want to sex with her.) aggression, eating disturbances and etc. Besides, P is afraid and shamed of reporting it. And causing P’s concrete evidence of the sexual abuse, her old daughter has the high potentiality of being abused by her grandpa. And here, P’s dad never shows and her mom denied and covered the truth of sexual of abuse at the beginning. Based on the prospective study, the model of both the victim and perpetrator’s behaviors provide social learning “opportunity”. The observation of violence, such as father rapes kid and asks his wife to shut up, which is the punishment for his wife, and the outcome of this violence is to let mom and future’s precious’ mouth off, which will reinforce for the offender(dad).

TWO: PHYSICAL ABUSE
PRECIOUS — AS A VICTIM
PRECIOUS’S TWO KIDS — AS A VICTIM
MOM — AS A PERPETRATOR
P’s mom increases the behaviors of throwing the heavy things(ex. TV and flowerpot) to her several times, beating her by using pot, kicking her and throwing her baby on the floor. One time P’s head was bleeding. As the mom’s report, she thinks because P deprives her husband’s love from her, so she wants to punish P. P’s mother’s physical abuse lets P become submissive, fearful, aggressive and loses emotional security. It teaches P that hitting is a way to control other people and to solve problem. Such as, as a big girl, P beats her classmate to show her love to her teacher, which can be accounted as her confusion of expressing love. Besides, because of this, P is really afraid of her mom, which leads to her poor report. Although P loves her kids so much, based on the educational way of physical punishment by her mom, her kids should also be at the high risk of being impropriate punishment by her. Besides, when P’s mom beats her at her pregnant time, it might impact on the growth of her baby in her belly.
THREE: NEGLECT
PRECIOUS — AS A VICTIM
PRECIOUS’S TWO KIDS — AS A VICTIM
MOM + DAD — AS A PERPETRATOR
1. Emotional Neglect. Although P seems to be more independent and mature than her peers, actually we can tell her deficiency of her emotional need. She always talk to herself or the “memory”(photos). I never see her mother share the “right” feeling with her, let alone her father…And also P’s mother verbally assaults her, such as call her stupid, bitch and animal. She terrorizes her that if she tell the social facility, her will kill P. She enforces P to get endurance illegally. Besides, I think P’s old kids also are suffering the emotional neglect here. Although the lack of emotional care and attachment should be attributed to her poverty and true situation, the fact is the kid can not be with her mother.
2. Depressed Neglect. Although from the appearance we can tell P’s mother owns the really bad temper. But it’s just what we see. What about the possibility of bipolar? Because as Zuravin and Diblasio(1996) report the majority of parents with depression they also present the desperation(P’s mother never thinks about finding a job), being abandoned(P’s mother feels she was abandoned by P’s father), angry(she beats P without doubt), or out of control…
3. Physical Neglect. P not only doesn’t apply her basic necessities, such as refrigerator is always empt.), but also lets P get the cheat welfare and make foods for her. Let alone P’s mother doesn’t care her HIV at all. So the medical
