I sit on the plane anxious. My eyes search the skies for hope. Im scared. I can’t sleep. I glance at my dad. His eyes show pain. He looks even worse, but approaching him wouldn’t help. He is in a lost world right now and cannot put everything together. I see my watch tick every second. Right now, every second matters and won’t come back. The world right now is in the hands of the doctors. They are the only ones who can decide life and death. “Ding” “Thirty minutes till landing, please fasten your safety belts. Thank you for flying with Air China”. Suddenly, the rush of shock thumps me so hard I felt like I couldn’t breath.

Once the plane landed, I was ready to sprint off, but the flight attendants stopped me. I tell them, “It is an emergency.” Until I notice they don’t know my urgency and my need for help. Finally, I reach the car and meet my uncle not feeling much better than my dad. We walk in the car quite and we stay quite. We rush to the hotel to drop the luggage off. My mind still can’t wrap around the truth. My grandmother is on the verge of death. It will be the last I ever meet her. I clench my teeth as hard as a bear and feel unconscious like living in carbon monoxide. I feel the goose bumps on my skin. I look to my mom for warmth and help. Her eyes and lips show her personality. It’s at its worst possible. “Mom, how much more time does she have?” “I don’t know, but its not long” she say, tears rushing down her face. Although I want to be a man, the agonizing pain cannot be held in. I feel cold tears flowing through my face. I constantly blink so I can believe I’m in a dream. Never works.
