“Steve Ells the founder of Chipotle and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, dreamed of opening a fine dining restaurant but ran into a problem most entrepreneurs face; lack of funds” (Fundable). Steve Ells motto for chipotle is “food with integrity” meaning that the food they serve not only tastes good but also has nutritional value for the consumer. Chipotle offers Mexican cuisine ranging from burritos to quesadillas; with rice, beans, meat and all the other fix ins available at an authentic Mexican eatery. The number of locations of chipotle is increasing everyday but it is right around 1,831 as of today domestically and internationally. Although the bulk of the franchises are here in the U.S. Chipotle opened a handful of store in Europe and has opened a little over 10 stores in Canada. Chipotle store were originally open to franchise but only in the early years ever since every store opened is a company owned franchise, therefore there is no franchise cost to buy a Chipotle only an expansion cost for the corporation. The company mission statement is as follows “Food with integrity” it means serving the very best sustainably-raised food possible with an eye to great taste, great nutrition, and great value.

I suggest trying a burrito from chipotle if you have never actually tasted one before. The franchise seems to be in every city I have ever visited and they are smart for opening franchises near a lot of college campuses because every college kid will rave about how they love Chipotle. That is one advantage they have over their competitors is the locations of their stores. Normally you see the stores only in high-populated areas unlike other fast food restaurants this makes the probability of revenue a lot more likely than building one in the middle of a low income
