Chipotle derives from the name “Nahuati” which is a smoked and dried jalapeño chili pepper. Chipotle was founded by Steve Ells in 1993, and was one of the first chains of fast causal dining establishments. From 1993 in a small town in Denver, Colorado to now having around 1,700 locations to chose from. Chipotle has made a serious jump from a small time vendor to a major cultivating franchise. When we gain one thing, we lose the next and when we give something up, we attain the other. The same goes for Chipotle, people will love to buy the latest sneakers or put the biggest flat screen in their living room but when the cry of our wailing stomach in its time of hunger comes on it can make any man turn. Chipotle is famous for its using of organic ingredients and serving more naturally raised meat than any other restaurant chain. One of the most important thing in the food business aside from other business is food poisoning or sickness caused by the food. In 2015, chipotle has been in the news continuously for a so-called E.Coli outbreak, making many ill and putting them in the hospitals. These is a major crash for the fast-paced business. For the next 5 years or so, chipotle will have to take care of these stressful events that have happened and prove to society that Chipotle is really something that will better the world. As a true Chipotle believer, this incident has stopped my Chipotle craves because every time I imagine Chipotle I see chaos wrapped around E.Coli which ruins everything as many customers and employees have also said. Every company now matter if it’s a fortune 500 or a mon and pop shop has its good and bad days, but the only thing society will remember is how quick they got up from that
