Throughout history many people have had a significant influence on the world. Some of these people impacted the world in a negative way, while others focused on leaving a positive imprint on society. Chris Kyle left an irrefutable signature in the world by serving his country and the people who live in it, and saving American lives.
Christopher Scott Kyle was born in Odessa, Texas on April 8, 1974. He grew up as a cowboy in Texas. He loved hunting, he always liked guns, and liked riding horses. He got into the rodeo business and broke both his wrist. He had to have pins put in. That ended his rodeo career. He decided to be in the military after that. But he waited to join the military and decided to attend college first.
Chris wanted to be in the military. He knew that if he couldn't live on a ranch he wanted to be in the military. When he went to sign up he was planning on being in special forces, but when he left the recruiters he was determined to be a SEAL. SEAL stands for SEa, Air, and Land. One day, Chris was going to help a victim of PTSD with his buddy Chad Littlefield. They took Eddie Routh to a shooting range to relieve some stress. At the range Eddie shot and killed both men. He took Chris Kyle’s truck and tried to get away. He was caught and sentenced to life in prison. He said he shot them because “they wouldn’t talk to me.”
Chris Kyle was truly an American hero. He strived to make his mark on the world positive. He succeeded by serving America and all the people who live in it. After risking his life in Iraq, he came back home and co-founded a company designed to help critically wounded veterans and veterans with PTSD.
