Life on the road is not suited for everyone. Chris McCandless thought that life on the road was for him but he ended up dying, supporting the fact. Drastic measures are to be taken when deciding to take on life on the road, measures that many people are not willing to take. We are all already used to a certain lifestyle and it wouldn’t be easy for us to just pick everything up and leave as McCandless did.
Successfully living in the wilderness is a hard thing to accomplish which is why most of us chose to stay away from it. When one chooses that lifestyle almost everything is harder. Living in the wild you are not able to drive three minutes to get food if you’re hungry so you have to hunt for your meals and find a way to preserve them or eat

There are scary dangerous animals that can cause great harm and may even be able to kill you. Animals such as bears, coyotes, and snakes that will not be able to fight off. Animals are not the only thing you need to worry about either, when going into the wild you need to be able to tell the difference between poisonous and non poisonous plants or you will have the same fate as Chris McCandless who ate a poisonous mushroom because he was out of food which if he had stayed in civilization he could have just gone to get some but he was tired of his good life and he died, because of a mushroom. Traveling from one place to another can also be dangerous because you don’t know the type of people you are going to come across. McCandless hitchhiked and when doing that you are getting into a strangers car that can drive off with you in their back seat. I have never been one to enjoy the outdoors all that much, I get bored and I’m used to having everything handed to me as most of us are in this generation. I am so used to my good life that I wouldn’t know what to do in the wild. I would probably die from a little cut that got infected because I wouldn’t be prepared with any type of aid.
