Stress can be good and bad on the human brain, body and the immune system. Many studies show different results about stress affecting a human’s brain, body and immune system. There are also all different ways to become stressed and also different kinds of stress between children and adults. Children can be affected by stress in different ways than an adult can. Stress should be treated before it turns into chronic stress, because chronic stress can be harmful to the body. Stress is a big part in human life causing your body to take it negative or positive. The reason stress is a big topic is because it may be causing cancer and other illnesses. It causes hospital visits daily. Any type of stress can increase heart rate and blood pressure. Work stress is a leading cause to obesity. It can also cause cardiovascular disease. Stress is known to impact physical and mental health. There are many leading causes to stress, most of them harm the body. Life events like abuse, job loss, divorce don't help with stress. An upcoming event can be stressful even if it is something so little. We might not even realize that we are stressed out but our brain and body knows. Helping children with stress is very important because stress messes up they way your brain functions, staying stress free helps with their memory. Children with chronic stress could be stuck in a “fight or flight behavior”. It is dangerous for a child to be under chronic stress because of the fear of harmful events. The children under such severe stress need to be given supportive caregivers so a child can grow up healthy and develop healthy relationships with other people.
