It should be an honor for anyone to attend Cimarron High School. The entire staff works extremely hard to make sure the students are safe, and also getting a good education. Although this high school is great in all aspects, there is one thing that can be improved upon. When discussing this, the proposal of an artificial turf football field should be mentioned. The atmosphere of Cimarron’s football stadium is outstanding, but the field has the potential to be much more appealing. Although the initial cost cost will be expensive, there are plenty of reasons why it will be beneficial in the future. Installing turf would significantly lower maintenance work. The money that is saved will be substantially high in the future. Gas costs will be eliminated for mowing the football field. With the price of gas constantly increasing, it is getting tougher to afford. Mowing that big of an area repeatedly throughout growing seasons, can get more costly than one thinks. With all the time and effort that is put into a grass field, maintenance workers are held back from helping Cimarron High School look the very best. Without working on the football field, they could be weedeating where sidewalk meets grass. Keeping the edges of grass looks professional and shows that the maintenance crew pays attention to detail. With this extra time they could also spend more time making sure all grass is kept short enough. They can get overwhelmed with the amount of grass that has to be mowed. This extra time also allows them to always make sure their equipment is up and running at top quality. It is very important to make sure of that because the equipment will break down easier if it is not serviced periodically. The time saved will be very beneficial to our maintenance, enabling them to get other things done
