“Miss Linh, from your blood samples I have deduced that you are, in fact, Lunar” (Meyer 175). This quote from the book turns the whole story around. My book Cinder by Marissa Meyer is about a teen girl in New Beijing, the city that was built after Beijing was destroyed. She is a half cyborg, half human mechanic, and her life changes after she meets the prince and head doctor of the plague that is going around. From these people, she learns the truth about her past and where she came from. In this journal, I will be questioning, predicting, and visualizing. To begin, I will be questioning why the author chose to make Linh Cinder, the main character, close with one of her stepsisters (Peony) rather than disliking them both. First, I think the…show more content… First off, one reason is because the book has been foreshadowing about the princess multiple times. The book has been talking about the prince and his android searching for the princess for a long time, and this leads me to believe that something big is going to happen concerning the princess. Another reason is because Cinder fits the descriptions of the mysterious princess. Cinder is her age, a girl, and one of very few Lunars that have escaped the Lunar Queen’s control and made it to the Earth from the Moon. The third reason I believe Cinder is the Lunar princess is because Nainsi said in her research that the Lunar doctor who brought the princess here had given her to another keeper before he died. This other keeper could be Cinder’s stepfather that had taken in the princess (or Cinder). Nainsi says in the book, “Though sources indicate that Princess Selene had been given to another keeper years before Tanner’s death, I have thus far not been able to confirm the identity of that keeper” (Meyer 199). Here, it is not certain who the new keeper was, so there is a high possibility that it is Cinder’s stepfather. Overall, I believe that Cinder is going to soon figure out that she is the allegedly dead Lunar Princess
