Civil Disobedience Disobedience isn’t always a bad thing, in this case people are being peaceful while disobeying the law. We are being asked if this positively or negatively affects our society. The answer is in the question as long as it is peaceful disobedience it won’t negatively affect our society. The civil rights movement is full of cases where someone peacefully disobeyed the law or rule against them. One of the most known and celebrated disobedience was Rosa Parks when she simply said no. A white person got onto the bus and was attempting to send Rosa to the back of the bus. She would not give her seat up for this white person this caused a huge commotion, and at the time people were in awe that she had done this. Today we realize …show more content…
He did them peacefully and now all of the things that he stood for are now widely accepted and considered to be right. However these groups sometimes have bad counterparts such as Malcolm X, Black Panthers, and Black Lives Matter. These groups are fighting for the same thing but they use violence and cause destruction and harm. Nothing about these groups are peaceful and it just proves that protesting in this way leaves a negative mark. We associate these groups with negativity and destruction while we associate the first groups with positivity and moving forward into a brighter future. I believe that civil disobedience can positively affect our society. As long as it is peaceful and causing no destruction and harm. It may turn out good or indifferent. In many cases it turns out good. This is proven by the examples listed above. The civil rights movement is full of cases where someone peacefully disobeyed the law or rule against them. Martin L. King created marks on our history by using the the whole idea of civil disobedience. He was a huge advocate for equal rights and many of the things he did were considered to be disobedient. He did them peacefully and now all of the things that he stood for are now widely accepted and considered to be right. The civil rights movement is full of cases where someone peacefully disobeyed the law or rule against them. One of the most known and celebrated disobedience was Rosa Parks when she simply said no.
